Established over a century ago, our client is market leader within their sector and are committed to providing first class solutions and services to their clients worldwide.

They are looking for a dynamic, experienced Area Sales Manager who can research and build the brand in targeted sectors across Western Europe.

If you have previous experience and a solid track record in Sales/Business Development and are fluent in German we would love to hear from you. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience of selling into the public sector and/or catalogue sales, however if you feel you have good transferable skill sets outside those sectors you will be considered.

What we can offer the successful Area Sales Manager:

·£40k Basic salary dependent on experience.

·£50k OTE.

·25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research and build the brand in targeted sectors in Western Europe.
• Identify and contact potential customers from detailed research by telephone or email introducing the product range, understanding their needs and likely objections.
• Travel across Western Europe as required to demonstrate, present and close business.
• Develop a coherent Sales and Marketing plan using research and contacts for the region to execute and secure future growth.
• Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets according to the Sales and Marketing Plan.
• Prepare detailed sales budgets, pipelines, forecasts and reports on progress.
• Develop strong relationships with existing clients in Western Europe to maximise long term revenue and market understanding and to drive additional revenue streams.
• Build harmonious professional working relationships demonstrating sound courtesies, business ethics and principles with managers, colleagues, service providers and customers.

Skills Required:

• Fluent written and spoken German is essential - desirable to have both French and German language skills.
• Knowledge of International Payments, shipping paperwork and IncoTerms.
• Proven ability to effectively communicate at all levels with colleagues internally and externally with customers and potential customers verbally and in writing.
• Robust track record of successful B2B channel sales experience, catalogue sales an advantage.
• Demonstrable skills in maintaining accurate records on CRM and accounting software.
• Proven ability to build positive relationships both internally and externally.
• A self-motivated team player.
• Ethical & Compliant.
