Due to business growth our well known Materials Handling client are now looking to supplement the Team and are now looking for time served experienced forklift truck engineers to become part of our Technical Support Engineer teams based from our Head Office in Deeside, North Wales.

Successful applicants must have a good working knowledge and understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical/electronic systems whilst also being able to demonstrate a working background with working on forklift trucks, plant or other similar material handling equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities:
* The successful candidate will carry out servicing, repair and refurbishment tasks across a wide variety of material handling equipment mostly comprising of forklift trucks and other similar equipment.

* Carry out fault diagnosis and repair to equipment, ensuring that all work is thoroughly checked and is in excellent working order.

* Working as part of the service support team you will be working with other engineers to ensure that all vehicles are maintained and repaired to a very high standard and are up to specification.

* Ensure that equipment is achieving maximum efficiency at all times.

* Carry out service inspections and Thorough Examinations to GN 28 standard.

* Adhere to all health, safety and environmental regulations at all times.

Qualifications (essential):
- Industry Qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ, etc.) or equivalent
- Experience IT user
- Driving License

Qualifications (preferred):
- Forklift Truck License

Experience/Skills (essential):

It is envisaged that the successful candidate will also have a good engineering background either mechanical or electrical; ideally you will be a multi-skilled engineer. Demonstrable working background on forklift trucks and plant equipment is desirable.

Person Profile:
Reliable, adaptable with good problem solving skills.

A good communicator with the ability to work well within a team.

The successful candidate will have excellent customer service skills and have good attention to detail, accuracy and PDA skills. Ability to work effectively and at times under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Good understanding of health, safety & environmental regulations associated with working in a Service Support environment.

Special Conditions:
Flexibility to work overtime when requested to meet specific deadlines.

Competitive salary offered depending on experience

Hours of Work: 39¼ Lunch: ½ hour

Start: 08:30 Finish: 17:00 (Mon – Thurs) 16:00 (Fri)

Great Holiday package of 26 days plus bank holidays.

You will also will have a Van allocated which is one of the new fleet.
