Geotechnical Engineer required to join an established Geotechnical Engineering team in their well established office situated in St. Albans to work on a diverse range of high profile projects including rail, highway (CDF/SMP), infrastructure, building and bridges.

You will be responsible for assisting the Principal/Director within the Geotechnical design team to certify compliance with all the relevant technical standards and to ensure projects are completed within the time frame.

Candidates must be technically strong within Geotechnical designs of either, slope stability, shallow foundations, deep excavations, earthworks, heavy piled foundations and embedded retaining walls, including the application of 2-D and 3-D numerical modelling (preferred). There are excellent opportunities for career progression whilst working alongside some of the industry's leading specialists.

Key requirements
* A minimum of 3 years and proven work within the UK or to the EU7
* Chartered or closer to chartership status
* BSc, BEng, MEng or MSC in Geotechnical/Geological science with a relation to Civil Engineering or Geotechnics.
* Experience designing deep/shallow foundations, retaining walls, slope stability or retaining structures.
* Computer literate and a professional knowledge of either AutoCad, Slope's, OASYS, Wallop, Flac 2 3D, GEO5 and Plaxis
* Demonstrated in Rail or Highways or Utilities or Environmental schemes
