Mechanical Field Service Technician - Renewable Energy
Salary - £30,000-£40,000 DoE + Vehicle, Tools, Benefits etc.
Location - Manchester (Field Based)

ASTUTE Technical are looking to speak to Field Service Engineers/Technicians with a mechanical bias to work on CHP units and micro turbines throughout the North of the UK. Ideally you will be based around the Manchester area as offices are in Cheshire. This role includes a fair amount of travelling and staying away from home. Our client is a SME with an excellent work culture who offer installation and service support for CHP units and Microturbines in the UK.

Responsibilities as Field Service Technician/Engine Tech:

* Installations of various power generation products such as CHP units, microturbines, generators etc
* Service and mechanical maintenance
* Basic electrical fault finding for PLC etc.
* Customer service as you will be representing the organisation
* Ensure health and safety policies are abided to

The ideal applicant will have:

* Experience maintaining and servicing engines and turbines (Jenbacher, Deutz, Cummins, Perkins, Caterpillar etc.)
* The flexibility to work until the job is done, travel extensively throughout the North of the UK and stay away from home when needed
* A relevant Engineering qualification (HND/HNC/NVQ L3/C&G or equivalent)
* Basic electrical knowledge
* A full driving licence

This position is offering a salary between £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience, a company vehicle, the tools needed to carry out the jobs and company benefits.
