Assembly Production Operative - Oakham

Assembly Production Operative Vacancies - 7 positions available (Temporary rolling contract - potential permanent)

Assembly Production Operatives required to be responsible for the day to day completion of set production runs/tasks within their areas of work.

The Production Operative will ensure the necessary quantity and quality of work are produced in line with the daily programme requirements using the tools and resources available to him/her.

Reporting directly to the Line Leader, the Production Operative has responsibility to report any problems, issues or concerns in a timely manner and help determine solutions and fixes to enable minimum delays to production.

Key Responsibilities:

complete necessary quantity of work within a given shift
be responsible for the quality of own work
understand documentation and the need to keep it up-to-date in terms of quality monitoring and traceability
be flexible and willing to learn new tasks and methods of manufacture
work within a team, and as part of a team to maximise efficiency and throughput

the above list is not exhaustive.

Skills/Experience required:

Ideally candidates should have previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment.

Previous experience/knowledge of manufacture of generator/alternator products desirable

Full training will be given for the right candidate.

Location: Oakham

Hours of Work:

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday operating a shift system of 2pm to 10pm(Initial training for upto 3-6 weeks on 6am-2pm shift, dependant on experience).

Salary and Benefits:

Upto £8.00 per hour plus monthly Attendance bonus (of 7% of monthly salary)

Upto 5% Profitability and upto 3% Turnover bonus (annual) Bonus Scheme

5% employer contributory pension scheme

4 x salary death in service benefit

20 days holiday increasing to max 25 days with service.
