We are looking for a Community Engagement Manager to join our very busy Community Engagement Team. This is a unique opportunity to make genuine contributions to large-scale regeneration and strategic projects across the South of England.

 

About the role

 

The Community Engagement Manager will:

Ensure the community engagement projects are delivered in an effective, efficient and timely manner resulting in community support and successful planning decision outcomes.
Build relationships with organisations, key stakeholders and the local community as part of the community engagement strategy (e.g. residents associations, local authority officers, Councillors, Associations, MP’s).
Effectively and coherently communicate Quantum Group’s plans and vision to local communities.
Research and identify the key stakeholders in the community that need to know about the development the company is proposing.
Maintain project databases.
Support marketing to produce consultation tools including content for exhibitions and workshops.
Co-ordinate with marketing all event planning and ensure proper procedures are followed.
Organise, attend and record meetings & events with a range of stakeholders.
Analyse and report on findings from consultation.
Attend evening and weekend consultation events.
Deliver completed SCI (Statement of Community Involvement) documents to Project Lead (Architect) on time for planning application submission.  

What we are looking for

 

An energetic, enthusiastic and flexible individual with a commitment to the value of community engagement and a professional approach to performance.
A blend of people skills balanced with excellent communication and project management skills.
An ability to connect with the wider community, able to listen and gather the views of local people and feed them back into the project team.
Property development community engagement would be a definite advantage
Excellent command of the English Language, attention to detail and proven writing skills.
Some experience in community consultation and engagement or through postgraduate studies is preferable.
Demonstrable experience of engaging and influencing key Stakeholders.
A demonstrably competent level of IT skills (Microsoft Office: Word and Excel/Photoshop & Illustrator).
The ability to work on several projects at one time.
A friendly and approachable individual who is confident and outgoing with a ‘can do’ attitude.
Someone who is not afraid to challenge the status quo.
A genuine interest in people, their lives and their views.
The ability to be patient and understanding even when under pressure or being challenged.
Ability to work flexibly, in teams and independently across a number of varied projects.
Be able to travel extensively across Southern England, work out of hours, away from home and at weekends – the majority of your working week will be spent away from the Bournemouth office.
Car ownership and full clean driving licence is essential. Who we are
