Engineering Coordinator (Technical Admin)

The Person

You will be an experience Technical Administrator with experience of working in a fast-paced Engineering environment.

MUST have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and able to create and manage Formulas, Graphs, etc.

You must be eager to learn the company products and have an interest in what the business does. Also able to work to documented procedures.

A highly technical engineering business who manufacture automation.

The Role

Provide administrative support to the Design Engineering department to ensure smooth and efficient procedures within the dept.

To process, manage and report high volumes of data.

Essential Experience

* Able to manage, analyse and report high volume data.

* Highly competent in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

* Possess excellent IT skills and the ability to manage several computer programs simultaneously.

* A good grounding in general office administration (at least two years) preferably encompassing engineering and/or manufacturing support tasks.

* Basic competence in English and Maths.

Key Responsibilities

* Controlling engineering documentation through the change approval process; requiring confident use of Microsoft Software (Word and Excel). Updating drawings (text fields) and corresponding data on the company's business system.

* Processing requests for drawing changes.

* Updating tracking spreadsheets as required.

* Entry and analysis (mainly using Microsoft Excel) of high volume data.

* Create and manage KPI's and reports for the dept.

* Assisting with the creation, production and updating of product manuals and training materials.

* Creating drawing packages for in-house manufacture and for sending out to suppliers.

* Providing other general administrative assistance to the Design Office. This might include filing, archiving, attending and minuting meetings, photocopying and scanning documents etc.

* Providing cover for Reception; lunchtimes, holidays and sickness when necessary.

* Answering telephone to cover reception when calls are "overflowed"

In Return

You will receive a basic salary of £17-21k

Hours: 8:00/8:30 - 4:30/5:00 (Mon-Thur), Early finish on a Friday
