Are you an experienced senior care assistant? Are you a natural leader? Do you enjoy working with the elderly and mentally infirm? There is an opportunity for experienced senior carers to work across a multitude of different sites as a shift leader. You will work on a temporary basis as a senior care assistant, called upon to work across different sites at short notice to help support the home manager in managing a team of care staff to deliver high standards of person centred care to the elderly.

You chose when and where you work. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to pick up some additional hours on top of main job however, there will be enough hours to provide with full time work should you wish. Responsibilities of the role:

- To act in a supervisory capacity as shift leader at each site

- Coach, mentor and support staff to deliver high standards of person centred care to the elderly

- Administer medication in the absence of the registered nurse

- To help in the promotion of mental and physical activity of the people you support and drive this within the care team

- Ensure all paperwork is up to date and relevant

- Deputise in the absence of the home manager

To be considered for this rewarding opportunity, you must:

- Have a minimum of 12 months experience as a senior care assistant

- Hold an NVQ 3 in Health and Social Care
