A nationwide charity renowned for the exceptional care to children and young people are looking for a Residential Support Worker to join their team. Offering up to £23,000

This organisation, who specialises in the care and treatment for children and young people with complex emotional needs in a residential and educational setting offer a fantastic starting salary, excellent holiday entitlement and benefits as well as a unique training and support structure ensuring further development and career progression for successful candidates.

The successful candidate must have;

* NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young Peoples Workforce/Caring for Children and Young People/Residential Childcare
* Minimum 6 months care experience
* Understanding of the needs of young people in care
* Resilient character due to residents challenging behaviour
* Flexibility to work days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Please note, all applicants must be over the age of 21 due to client group.

Job Responsibilities Include;

* To work in accordance with the children's home regulations
* Always display and promote correct working practise
* Promoting independence
* Complete and maintain administrative records
* Write and review individual care plans
* Provide a positive role model for all young people
* Adhere to all house policies on incident reporting
* To provide a safe, loving and homely environment for all young people
