About the Role

We are looking for experienced and confident administrators to provide comprehensive support to our frontline social work staff as well as dealing directly with customers on emotionally charged matters.

Working as part of our busy area social care administration team within the Children’s Service, as well as being involved in the day to day running tasks of the administration service, you will take on wide-ranging administrative responsibilities.

Customer-focused, with great written and oral communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills, you understand the importance both of confidentiality, and of taking responsibility for delivering your own work to a consistently high standard.

Much of your time will be spent dealing with highly confidential information and emotionally charged matters, so we need an experienced administrator who can provide frontline customer service, as well as behind-the-scenes support. Above all, you must be able to make life easier for our managers and social workers, quickly gaining thorough knowledge of all their specialism’s and co-ordinating and prioritising your own workload.

With experience of working in a busy office environment, you must have strong IT and communication skills and share our deep commitment to providing the highest standard of customer care – and be ready for an altogether more stretching and rewarding role.

Our Social Care Administration Team of approximately 15 staff members based in each of the area offices support our social work teams providing all daily administration tasks, including answering telephone calls, entering information on our Service database, and report typing.
