Person Specification
The successful applicant will be a resilient graduate who has already held a paid or volunteer role where you supported SEN children. Ideally you will have an SEN related degree, either graded first class or a second-class degree at the very least. You will have the drive to show empathy to the different needs of pupils and show that you are enthusiastic about education. You should have the ability to generate healthy working relationships and a strong ambition to teach. The ideal candidate will have shown exceptional professionalism at all times and a desire to work within SEN, supporting children with additional needs.

About the Role
This role gives you the opportunity to learn about every element of SEN, as you gain first-hand experience by supporting the pupils through classwork, planning provision with the SENCO and liaising with external agencies. Part of your role will include developing students in 1:1 tutoring and group sessions in order to boost attainment and speed up progression. You will be assisting with pre-lesson preparation and help plan interesting, stimulating lessons that reach every child.
