Technical Analyst - Solar Investment Fund, Central London UK. £25,000 - £35,000 per annum plus bonus
This is an exciting opportunity to apply your renewable energy engineering expertise in a fast paced, very high calibre investment team (M&A) currently busy acquiring large solar PV sites to add to their extensive portfolio.
The role directly supports the M&A team with technical due diligence and involves reviewing and verifying performance calculations delivered by technical advisors, evaluating the technical value of the assets during buyers' due diligence and the management / verification of key project documents, EPC, O&M, electrical test, performance testing and warranties.
You're a high calibre graduate with a strong academic background including a degree or masters in engineering (preferably electrical or renewable energy systems), you're highly ambitious, want to fast track your career and have the work ethic to match.
You have at least 2 years' relevant technical background and experience in solar, likely coming from a position in a technical consultancy, fund or EPC.
Your comfortable working to tight deadlines, and with a very high degree of attention to detail as the role will involve lots of documentation and spreadsheet (excel) work.
You will be given as much responsibility as you can handle in this fast paced, hard working and growing team and you should be happy to manage a broad spectrum of work, accept periods of high pressure and long hours.
Essential skills / experience
Technical / Engineering Degree (2:1 or better)
Passion for renewable energy
2 year's technical work experience in consultancy, investment fund or EPC (not an O&M background) focussed on renewable energy (including solar PV)
Highly computer literate with strong MS Office skills.
Fluent English language skills
Right to work in the UK (without sponsorship)
