We are looking for a System Administrator to work within our offices and with our valuable customers to provide support and stable solutions.
The ideal candidate is someone who wants to pro-actively expand their understanding of the latest trends in infrastructure technology and is able to travel if required.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide end-user support to offices in all territories as well as remote workers including
device and equipment management and maintenance and software support and maintenance
* Manage the IT aspect of the new joiners and leavers process including PC and account setup and orientation
* Provide fixed line telecoms support and ensure all devices are configured as per published desk plans and directories
* Ensure employee remote access is supported and maintained
* Monitor all data backups to ensure that they are completed on a regular basis.
* Monitor all network devices, applications and ensure system performance is maintained at acceptable levels
* Ensure all applications are updated regularly and appropriate patches are deployed as and when required
* Maintain and Support infrastructure applications ensuring they are up to date including Exchange, Office 365 and Active Directory
* Monitors security compliance in accordance with policies
* Provide support for our Helpdesk System
* Accurately log all technical support calls and change requests
* Track all infrastructure support tickets to ensure we are meeting required SLAs
* Respond to all IT tickets in a timely manner
* Provide reporting on key statistics with regards to the helpdesk and network including number of servers, uptime, etc.
* Assist with monitoring systems, patch management, network management and any other
required support for all systems at both our managed service providers
* Maintain our Active Directory database to ensure this is kept up to date and all employees have the required access
* Provide end user support as required to ensure systems are available and can be accessed
* Assist in the diagnosis of issues
Essential skills:
* Microsoft Exchange
* Microsoft SharePoint
* Microsoft Desktop Application Support (Office, Skype for Business, etc)
* Microsoft Office365
* Microsoft Desktop & Server Operating Systems
* Standard network administration including firewall configuration and management, switches, wireless
* SSL Certificates
* Virtualisation - VMWare & Hyper-V
* Microsoft RRAS
* Veeam (Backup & Replication)
* Microsoft SQL Server
* McAfee VSE & MSE Anti-Virus
* Providing end-user technical support (1st Line and up)
* Excellent analysis, design and problem solving skills
* Good communication and customer relationship skills and good presentation skills
* Minimum of 3 years practical technical experience
* Good interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with internal and external customers
* Linux server deployment and configuration (particularly SUSE & RHEL)
* Cloud Computing - AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
* Command line scripting (VB Script, PowerShell, Batch, Bash)
* SAP (Administration & Support)
* SAP Basis Support
