SEN Teaching Assistant needed in a Year 3 class in Havering.

The role would be 1:1 with two students, and you would share the role with another SEN Teaching Assistant

Half the day you would work with 1 student and the other half you would work with the other student.

The two students have different needs:

The first child is severely autistic and they have just moved from a specialist school. All the student's lessons are differentiated and you would have to help the student progress.

The second child has Emotional and Behaviour difficulties; this student needs a stable and reliable Teaching Assistant who can commit to the whole year.

They are looking for a Teaching Assistant who can confidently go into the class and help these students achieve their potential. The teaching assistant must be able to provide stability and able to work 5 days a week for the next academic year.

The position is full time, permanent and looking to start in September.

The school is located in Havering They have a great Head Teacher who is very positive and eager to help staff and students reach their potential. The Ideal Candidate:

Hold CACHE, diploma in teaching assistant or equivalent qualifications.

Experience working with SEN students is necessary

Preferred experience working with Autism and Emotional, Social, Behavioural Difficulties

Empathic and understand the safeguarding of children.

Excellent spoken English.

You must be an enthusiastic and motivated TA who is looking to make a contribution in the primary sector.

Have a clear and up to date DBS
