This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Commercial Manager with an ambitious wholesale bakery in East London.

Galeta is probably London's best wholesale bakery. We are proud to supply some of the capitals finest delicatessens and award winning restaurants. We also operate at events throughout the city as well as having market stalls at various weekly farmers markets in London.

We are a young, fun company run by 2 entrepreneurial directors who started the company from a market stall in 2011. We are looking for someone really special to fill this central role within our business. You will need to be a big personality with a proven track record of sales.

In this role you will be given the opportunity to build a credible and long term career with the business and be part of a fun team at an exciting stage of the company's development!

You will be working alongside the Directors of the business to implement our long term sales strategy and will be have a wide ranging responsibility for account manager across customers both large and small. You have to be able to hold your own with small coffee shop owners and large distributors alike.

Passion for food is a must as you will be discussing our artisanal product range and the ethos of the company on a daily basis.

The successful applicant will work Monday to Friday, from 8:30am to 5:30pm, based in our office based in Hackney Wick. We are a short walk from Hackney Wick Overground station and have a bright and spacious office right by the canal. Once trained, you will be largely responsible for making your own schedule in or out of the office.

The role of a Commercial Manager would involve the following:

  • To manage key accounts whilst reinforcing the company's values
  • To create business plans and manage P&L for key accounts
  • Building relationships with the key accounts
  • Driving sales to achieve strong, noticeable results

The ideal candidate would have the following:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in sales, alongside experience in an FMCG based environment, but this is not exclusively necessary
  • An entrepreneurial drive to grow business, gain new accounts and expand on current growth

Starting pay is £45k p/a basic with an OTE of £75k
