Conference Producer Contractor (4-5 month contract)
Hack Partners are leading technology driven improvements in the UK, starting with the transport industry. We’re leading this effort through our flagship movement, the HackTrain by running fast paced technology trials, providing management consultancy services and delivering hackathons. The HackTrain has become well recognised for being an incredibly powerful medium for solving the industry's biggest challenges improving operational efficiency and customer experience. The movement is supported by the Department for Transport, government ministers and the UK’s biggest train operating companies.
We are increasingly becoming the top choice within the transport industry for breakthrough level innovation. In order to scale and make an impact we need a world-class team to help us make a difference in this fast-growing but slow moving industry.
Together we can drive massive change within the transport industry that will see it becoming more efficient and pleasant to use for everyone. Your role will be to help the company produce the next HackTrain Conference. Opportunities include some of the following:
Build strong and effective relationships with technology companies
Build strong and effective relationships with senior level executives within the rail industry
Impacting an entire industry through innovation based on the relationships and partnerships you build from our events and consulting services

You will be at the heart of a truly unique movement that will have a massive impact within the UK economy. We are in the process of planning for our next HackTrain Conference which will be held on the 3rd of November. This will be a RailTech conference with a target of 200-300 railway private and public sector professionals.
The last HackTrain Conference was an event on its own but this year we have decided to combine the Conference and our annual HackTrain hackathon. Videos of our previous hackathons and conferences can be found on our youtube channel.
Your goal will be to curate new and bold ideas relating to RailTech innovation and the different components that make it up. Here are some examples of what you will be doing:
Assisting in, if not taking charge of, curating the agenda for the next HackTrain Conference
Identifying and reaching out to potential speakers and persuading or negotiating with them
Managing the relationship between the confirmed speakers, their PAs and the in house events team
Skills and experience desired:
1+ years experience as a conference producer
Knowledge of the technology sector and innovation related speakers
Well-versed in managing different people and stakeholders in different quantities; i.e. 10 stakeholders vs 30 stakeholders
Ability to adapt and make evidenced based decisions;
Good attention to detail; we want someone who enjoys making things great!
Self-starter; we want someone who can come up with great ideas and execute them with the team!
Passionate about innovation and the transport industry
Knowledge of how to use Google Drive for Business services
