You will be working for a leading provider of housing, care and support services based in London and the South East. They are currently recruiting for a Support Assistant specialising in the mental health schemes.
Your new role
As a Support Assistant your main responsibility will be to provide practical and emotional support to vulnerable people to help them sustain their homes and lives in the community, monitoring their wellbeing and referring onto more specialist staff. Also to assist with practical skills which may include life skills. Furthermore you will be required to complete support plans, risk assessments and reviews for lower needs customers. Lastly, any complex cases you will refer to the Support Officers.
What you'll need to succeed
As a Support Assistant specialising in mental health you will need to be working across a 24/7 rota. Also it is essential to demonstrate working with vulnerable adults and understand the issues affecting them. Lastly, to be sufficient at using Microsoft packages and excellent team work skills, demonstrating both collaboration and respect with peers and customers.
