Finance Analyst - PMO, Media, £70k, Central London

Our client is a Media powerhouse and is looking to recruit Finance Analyst within Finance PMO. Our client has recently made a number of acquisitions and is looking for an experienced candidate to work with the Director, Finance PMO and Finance leadership team on all Finance related projects, initiatives and business integrations

Reporting:

  • Support the Director, Finance PMO to ensure the PMO office issues accurate and timely reports and project updates to senior leadership, including: KPIs and KPI dashboards; project plans; timelines, risks and issues, project costs and performance against them
  • Consolidate and analyse finance data to facilitate the identification and quantification of benefits to be realised on Finance projects and on-going tracking of benefits realisation;

Strategy & Process

  • Support the Director Finance PMO and other key members of the Finance function in driving process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function
  • Help identify best practices around Group target operating model to support consistency and drive operational efficiencies
  • Design with Director Finance PMO the "Group Integrations blueprint"
  • Help implement the "Integrations blueprint", collaborate with the Group FDs and Brand FDs to ensure newly acquired business are fully integrated, including: migration to Group COA and reporting to Global Finance; changes to accounting policy; integration of Policies & Procedures, systems migration and change management
  • Help identify best practices around Group’s target operating model to support consistency and drive operational efficiencies

Other

  • Help add value to the UK Finance team through the key areas of the Projects Office: reporting, documentation, platforms. Maintain and create when necessary the central repository of Finance project deliverables and process documentation on SharePoint; design templates, contribute to comms, etc
  • Build and maintain relationships within Finance, Technology and other business areas across the client as required;
  • Ad-hoc duties as directed by the Director, Finance PMO.

Personal Specification

  • Batchelors degree or equivalent from a leading university (2:1 or above)
  • Qualified accountant ACA or ACMA, first time passes
  • Strong interpersonal, communications and influencing skills, experience of working at all levels in an organisation, a team player who can collaborate with functional partners like Operations, IT, HR, Legal, etc, and can operate in large project teams, or change programmes involving significant performance improvement across a matrix based organisation
  • A role where you will be "delivering through others" you will need to demonstrate an inclusive team behavior, generosity in sharing knowledge and supporting others to deliver
  • Can create from scratch status/progress update reports, project performance, design key reporting templates, KPI dashboards and other reporting requirements for senior leadership, stakeholders and project teams
  • Experience and understanding of end to end Finance processes and controls across a Finance function. Ability to conduct deep dive process analysis, document process workflows current state and come up with future state
  • Experience of working within business change or change transformation programmes throughout all stages of the Project Life Cycle and an understanding of project/business change methodologies and processes
  • Advanced user of power point, excel and MS Visio. Knowledge of MS project an advantage
