The company are a FCA-authorized firm based in central London. The firm engages in proprietary trading over exchanges, MTFs, and other markets in Europe and New York.

About The Role

The company seeks a Technical Project Manager to join their Technical Implementation team. The Technical Project Manager will work with the global engineering and architecture teams and various external parties to maintain existing systems, strategically plan for growth as well as plan and deploy releases into production environments.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

·Participating in internal meetings and external meetings to gather project requirements and preparing detailed summarizes to share with the Engineering, Operations and trading teams
·Engaging, fostering, and managing strong relationships between internal and external project resources
·Managing prioritization and execution of projects, including tracking key decision making, deliverables and reporting on project progress through the project life cycle (Initiation, Approved and Current, Completed)
·Generating and maintaining accurate project documentation
·Leading the design, development and deployment of work plans and producing the required tasks, resources and schedule for complex projects
·Escalating project and task anomalies and correcting problems identified during projects
·Facilitating the management of expectations for trading teams and management
·Planning and coordinating activities for the physical work in a data center (physical hardware and network installations)
·Coordinating with various teams to manage shipments and equipment orders -- may include communication with telco providers and other vendors regarding order status and returns
·As part of a deployment, liaising with remote hands and internal resources to troubleshoot issues
·Meeting with trading teams regularly to understand their growth plans and discuss the firm's roadmap
·Contributing suggestions for new process and for improving existing processes

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

·At least 5 years of work experience in a technology or finance environment, to include at least 3 years of experience in the Project Management field
·Experience with market data and general concepts for networking and server configurations
·Knowledge of Linux (preferred)
·Excellent time management skills, including exceptional attention to detail and meticulous organization
·Very strong written and verbal communication skills
·A passion for technology and maintaining a competitive edge
·A Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred

Candidates should also be:

·Self-motivated and able to work flexible hours (including late nights and weekends)
·Knowledgeable about IT infrastructure and data center environments
·Knowledgeable about application development cycles and pre go-live requirements
·Able to travel internationally
·Highly analytical
·Able to learn quickly and assume new responsibilities as the firm's priorities change
·Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
·Able to work both individually and with a team
