The Opportunity

Our client is a Private Equity Backed marketing software company that helps to personalise a customer’s buying journey through the use of unique messages and email interactions. This is an extremely exciting opportunity to be a part of an immensely dynamic company that has a proven track record of year on year growth. Their clients include Mercedes-Benz, Levis, House of Fraser and Speedo’s and more.

The Role

As the Credit Manager you will ensure timely and accurate collection of outstanding monies. You will ensure the business working capital position is known through effective reporting and analysis. The candidate will report to the Group Financial Controller and will work closely with the sales team. As part of the role you will be required to:

  • Manage, motivate and develop a team of 5 credit controllers
  • Set and monitor weekly, monthly and quarterly collection targets
  • Produce weekly cashflow forecast for Group Finance Controller
  • Liaise on a daily basis with account managers, sales and operations to ensure queries are resolved in a timely manner
  • Producing monthly Aged Debt report for Account managers
  • Check customer credit ratings with banks and credit reference agencies
  • Set up terms of credit with new customers
  • Respond to customers complaints, issues, resolving/ escalating where relevant

The Candidate

The company is looking for a dedicated, hardworking individual. Valuable personal qualities will include:

  • Ideally you will be degree qualified and a qualified ICM with a good understanding of management accounts a
  • You will have a strong work ethic and a 'can do’ attitude; able to demonstrate an underlying ethos of direct contribution towards continuous improvement
  • You will demonstrate a pro-active attitude and a tenacity in reclaiming outstanding debt
  • Strong communication skills are essential for this role, as is experience of dealing with both finance and non-finance people
  • Due to this clients international presence, European language skills (German/French/Spanish) would be beneficial but not essential
