Metropolitan is a leading provider of integrated housing services, care and support and community regeneration. We manage over 38,000 affordable homes for rent and sale to those with greatest need, along with a range of care and support services.

We are currently recruiting a housing with Support Managers to support the day to day running of our Older Person`s Accommodation services in London. Your main responsibilities will include the safe and effective running of the service. Be a single point of access for the customers regarding activities, repairs or events that will take place. You will work to promote Metropolitan`s Brand for Older person`s services and will be a positive and professional representation of the organisation, to customers, visitors, contractors, other professionals and key stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities
-Manage the service budget to ensure all budgeted income is received and costs are in line with the budgeted expenditure
-To monitor and support the collection of rent and any rent arrears.
-Professional tenancy sign ups and terminations
-Ensure an efficient transition and implementation of the void process to minimise the void turnaround time and the subsequent void loss.
-Day to day housing management responsibilities including H&S of the building, monitoring repairs till completion.
-Manage and coordinate minor ASB issues with an aim to resolve before it escalates
-Deliver a daily welfare check on all the customers in your designated patch for Older persons
-Ensure there is a planned programme of activities that take place every week in line with the immediate and local community - Creating a HUB for social inclusion
-Work with customers to ensure there income is maximised to support their wellbeing
-Ensure effective line management of cleaners, caretakers or any other direct reports
-Supporting the wider team by providing cover to other services as required and sharing best practice and skills to maintain a continuous level of service to the customers and achieving the teams KPI`s.

Essential Criteria:
-A desire to work with Older persons to maximise their independence and wellbeing
-A good understanding of Housing Management responsibilities
-IT, numeracy & Literacy Skills
-A "Can Do" attitude and a positive approach to problem solving
-Excellent communication and report writing skills
-Ability to understand and interpret data on standard reports, like accounts, voids and invoicing
-Flexible approach to your working day
-Experience of direct line management including performance management (for the Kennington Post)
-Experience of effective Multi site working (Floating Post)

Desirable Criteria:
Driving licence and access to a car (Floating Post)
