Inspection Supervisor/Team Leader
£20,238 + £2000 LW

Shift pattern: 10am - 7pm & 7am - 4pm alternate days

Our dynamic and fast growing client is currently looking for a bright, ambitious and flexible individual to join their team based in Wimbledon. The chosen individual will effectively supervise the vehicle inspections process and team, ensuring company KPI’s/SLA’s, targets and revenues are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for supervising Vehicle Inspections ensuring the department is managed effectively, including ensuring the administration, inspection, coordination and movements of vehicles meets customer SLA requirements at all times

• Ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the department, to deal with any problems or incidents in a timely manner and within the required procedure guidelines, escalating issues where necessary

• Operating Procedure (SOP), BVRLA fair wear and tear, quality standards and KPIs and take corrective action where necessary

• Planning in advance, with the AGM Operation, to support vehicle arrivals in terms of facility available, productivity of labour and equipment, and where appropriate support the yard team with on going process and movement of inspected vehicles, to ensure the efficient and effective flow of vehicles around the site

• Ensuring the correct usage of PDA’s and supporting systems

• Interaction with customers as appropriate, to give information regarding inspections as and when required to demonstrate expertise and value of the product and service, supporting the complaints process as appropriate

• Ensuring accurate communication is maintained with Vendor Support colleagues to minimise the time delays in getting a vehicle allocated to sale

• Proactively manage the development and performance of all team members, ensuring that all mandatory HSE requirements are fulfilled and all team members are trained and developed to maximize performance taking appropriate action where standards are not met

• Investigate any disputes involving inspections and provide timely feedback to the appropriate

• Ensure all HSE processes and policies are adhered

• Ensure the administration, inspection, coordination and movement of vehicles meets customer SLA at all times

Personal Specification

• Experience with a supervisory/team leading role

• Previous experience within a supervisory role or managing small teams

• Experience of working within and meeting SLA and KPI requirements

• Ability to work within a KPI driven environment

• Ability to motivate and drive a team

• Great customer service skills

• The ability to understand how to use/analyse data to drive performance

• Full Clean Driving Licence

• Strong communication skills

• IT Literate
