I’m looking for Support Workers in Long Ditton just outside Surbiton to work in a residential school setting that supports children with complex Learning Difficulties, Challenging Behaviour, Autism and Complex needs. This is a PERMANENT position.

***Interview morning 31st August***


£16,816 based on 36.6 hours per week (£8.86 per hour) (Additional overtime is also available).

Is a long-established provider of quality education and care services to children and young adults. Their adult homes have received positive feedback from all agencies and are deemed to offer an exceptional service by CSC. The company ethos is very much about promotion of independence, building on confidence and helping with gaining access to the community with service users’ needs at the forefront of their mind.

The ideal candidate will possess:

* Experience with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Challenging Behaviour is desirable however not essential as training will be given
* Compassionate and confident individual
* Able to work weekdays and weekends on the following shifts 7.30am to 2.30pm or 2pm to 10pm - Essential
* Passionate about supporting people with Learning Disabilities / Autism - Essential
* Ideally be aged 23 years old or over


* 3 week rolling rota
* Chance to complete NVQ’s in Health and Social Care (if not already completed)
* Day working only
* Ongoing training and development


* To provide residents with a care and support service which is appropriate to their individual needs, enabling them to live as independently as possible within the home and in the community.
* To maintain appropriate records and participate in the running of the home.
* Contribute to the development of the residents with both practical and emotional support, to enable them to participate in the planning and decision making of the home, e.g. domestic and housekeeping services, leisure activities etc.
* Maintain and promote a high quality, homely lifestyle within the community, promoting needs, rights, privacy, fulfilment, choice, dignity and confidentiality at all times.
* Participate in and help deliver a wide range of innovative social and recreational events both within and outside the home, including residents’ holidays and outings.
* Prepare and assist residents in preparing meals on a daily basis in accordance with good health and hygiene standards.
