The local construction office is formed of true industry leading professionals each with a detailed local knowledge of the industry. Several schemes up to £25m have now been secured, and a confirmed order book which leads in to 2018.

Very brief overview:

Oversee and check Subcontractors Engineer's work and managing variations.
Roving roll covering building projects within an hour of Southampton
Occasional setting out of own work (Foundations, Frames, Roads etc) using fully robotic kit.
Review site investigation reports, topographical surveys, utility plans etc. to assist with the design process.
Production of Constraints Plans.
Management of the design work, ensuring that externally appointed consultants work to achieve cost effective solutions on time and on budget.
Procure utility designs for the development.
Manage the technical approval process of S38/S104 & S278 designs and ensure the legal agreements are secured in a timely manner.
Deliver a clear and concise technical briefing to all departments at the pre-start stage.
Support Commercial/Construction/Sales departments.
Monitor and control the Professional Fees budget and update fee reports monthly.

Experience and Qualifications:

ND, HNC, HND or Degree in Civil Engineering
Have a sound knowledge and experience of civil engineering construction activities; i.e. Foundations, frames (RC & Steel), roads, sewers, pumping stations and section agreements.
The successful candidate will be part of a busy team and the role will grow with the individual.
Ability to work within a team
Ability to work with Site Managers, Engineers and wider Technical / Commercial team.
