Our client is a multiple Award-Winning family business specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of bespoke glass products for new building contracts and refurbishment.

Working with specifiers, architects, commercial and high-end private clients throughout the UK, they are looking for an additional surveyor to assess and measure for glass-related installation works.

The successful applicant will visit site to advise and measure for the installation of glass balustrades for staircases, balconies and patios; bespoke mirrors, glass shower screens, splashbacks and other bespoke projects.

The successful applicant will have previous precise-measurement experience in glass-related products, or a similar field such as architectural, joinery, fitted kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, etc. Experience with glass related products would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided. However, the ability to understand basic construction techniques, assess situations at site, accurately measure and provide accurate sketch drawings for projects is essential.

You will have a calm, polite and friendly manner, the ability to advise and explain options to customers and to provide accurate information back to the production team in the factory in Manchester.

Reporting to the Senior Surveyor / Contracts Manager, the main duties will include:
• Visiting sites to assess each project
• Explain and agree installation options with customers
• Precise measurement at site
• Prepare sketch drawing with measurements

The successful candidate will:
• Have excellent customer service skills
• Have a full drivers licence with no more than 3 points
• Have previous experience measuring for bespoke installation projects
• Have a basic understanding of construction techniques
• Have a calm, polite and friendly manner
• Have the ability to advise and explain options to customers
• Be able to provide an accurate sketch drawing with measurements
• Be willing to learn new skills and techniques
