Principal Technical Consultant (Oracle, SQL, Java, C#, Finance, Accounting)

Are you the kind of person that would thrive when presented with the chance to travel the world implementing innovative and cutting edge finance and accounting software for a rapidly growing, global fin-tech firm? If so then my client has the perfect opportunity for you.

Career progression and employee development are extremely important to my client and the lack of a set promotion structure within the company means that they can instead focus on organic growth, allowing them to promote employees at every opportunity, when their performance is deserving of one.

The role involves working in small teams of around 6 people in a client facing environment, tasked with a range of responsibilities that involve processing huge amounts of data, you would oversee the whole implementation process of the software from the software product installation all the way through to the handover and transfer of knowledge to the clients staff.

The company are looking for passionate and self-motivated individuals who are enthusiastic about the solutions and software they would be working with. A 2:1 or 1:1 from a highly regarded university in a subject area that is closely related to Computer Science or Mathematics is preferred, as well as having a strong understanding and previous use of DBA/database skills such as Oracle, DB2, Teredata and SQL server, and being able to confidently work with programming language like SQL, Java, .net, XML and C#. Furthermore the role requires a technically minded individual who possesses strong analytical and presentation skills and has the ability to understand complex systems.

Advantageous experience for the role may include:

  • Having previously worked within a small team that focuses on application development
  • Designing and implementing financial systems/general ledger projects
  • Experience in dealing with UNIX and Widows operating systems and tools
  • General knowledge of accounting practices

If you are someone who is motivated at the thought of being part of a small team and therefore being afforded a lot of responsibility, working for a company who highly value their employees career progression, and travelling to various different countries all over the world to implement cutting edge technology then give me a call on or email me on
