I am delighted to be recruiting for a highly esteemed national charity who specialise in supporting adults with learning disabilities to live the best lives as possible championing and empowering them within employment, relationships and activities.

The organisation have recently expanded and opened new services creating opportunities within Stonehouse, Stroud and Tetbury areas of Gloucestershire. I am currently looking for part time / full time, night and day staff to work within these supported living services. You will be supporting people with a range of complex needs to include learning disabilities, autistic spectrum conditions, early onset dementia, physical disabilities, mental health issues and challenging behaviours.

Responsibilities of Support Worker:

* Supporting clients with all aspects of personal care including bathing and dressing
* Supporting with Moving and Handling
* Supporting clients with meal preparations and feeding
* Supporting clients with administration of medication
* Managing challenging behaviour including de-escalating
* Supporting clients with in-house and external activities and promoting independence
* Supporting clients to manage all aspects of their life and accessing the community
* Completing domestic duties on a daily basis
* Supporting clients with verbal and physical challenging behaviour
* Working inline with CQC regulations and company policies and procedures

Person Specification for Support Worker:

* Experience within Health and Social Care is advantageous but not essential
* Training to NVQ level 2 is advantageous but not essential as training is provided
* Due to the location of the business a full driving license is essential
* All applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and referencing
