Our international Freight Forwarding client is looking to resource an Experienced Business Development Manager (External Sales) for their Road Freight Division. The successful candidate will be able to choose to work out of their Midlands or Heathrow office. In order to attract the right candidate for this role they are offering an outstanding salary and commission structure, please see above/below package. This is really a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive international player who can offer long-term stable employment to the right applicant

Applications are welcome from experienced external freight forwarding sales people who can sell EU road freight solutions. They are especially interested in meeting with candidates who can demonstrate a successful history of sales within IRE-UK-IRE trade lane in particular.

Overall Duties

 To develop and increase the sales of the Road Freight product – special emphasis on the UK-IRE trade route in line with company targets.
 To develop the customer base in line with company objectives
 Support sales activities in other areas as required as part of the sales team
 Report your sales progress within the company CRM system

Key Result Areas

To obtain news business and sales targets
Ensure retention of existing business in line with specified targets.

Main Duties Responsibilities

• Plan prioritise personal sales activities achieving agreed targets including costs and sales especially managing personal time and productivity
• Plan and manage personal business portfolio/territory according to marketing strategy
• Managing pricing and margins according to agreed targets
• Retain existing business in line with targets
• Use customer and prospect contact activity tools and system updating these with relevant information
• Support localk and national marketing initatives
• Monitor and report back on parket and competitor activines providing relevant feedback , reports and information
• Communciate and negotiate internally and externally to support the development on profitable business and sustainable relationsps
• Represent the company at meeting and presentations as necessary to perform your duties and aid business development

Package: BDM Road Freight External Sales
Location: Either Birmingham/Midlands OR Heathrow / Slough
Salary: Basic CIRCA £50,000 plus this is negotiable depending on experience
