Area to be covered: South & Anglia (Excluding Greater London)

Remuneration: £50,000-£55,000 + 1% over target uncapped Commission

The role of the Sales Manager for Glass Partitioning & Doors will involve:

• Field sales role, promoting market leading glass partitioning & doors including specialist services that include the design, advise, project management and installation
• Targeting projects up to the value of £150,000-£200,000
• New role / region for our client, created through a desire to grow business in the South of the country (but outside London where they have an existing field sales professional)
• 75% of your time will be spent selling into main contractors and fit-out contracts
• 25% of the role will involve winning specification projects with architects
• Tasked with growing revenue on the is patch from £350,000 to circa £1m (approx 6-8 projects secured so far on this patch since Feb 2017, with no dedicated field sales representation)
• Inheriting approx £1m of priced projects (project bank)
• Short sales cycles, typically 2-3 months
• Inheriting a number of main contractor and fit-out contractor relationships, predominantly from London clients with regional offices throughout the South
• It is expected that approx. one third of your revenue will come from new customers, one third from your own existing contacts and one third from existing client relationships

The ideal applicant will be a Sales Manager for Glass Partitioning & Doors with:

• Must have prior experience of selling into main contractors or fit-out contractors
• Ideally with architect specification experience
• Must have a proven track record in field sales within the building industry
• Previous experience in the sub-contractor marketplace preferred
• Already covering this region, ideally with contacts in main contractors and fit-out contractors
• Prior partitioning knowledge is not essential but may be preferred
• Open to backgrounds such as: internal doors, internal glazing, ceilings, joinery, acoustics, flooring, decorative products or other interior products is preferred
• A mouldable, personable and approachable character
• Ideally understand commercial fit out market
• Excellent relationship forging skills
