A well-established customer technology company in Thame that brings innovative retail technology solutions to some of the UK's best known and loved brands is looking for a Technical Support Technician to support 2nd and 3rd line. Having doubled its turnover in 2 years the company has now been acquired by a global leader so the acquisition means that customers will continue to enjoy the expertise and commitment to serving theirs needs but with the enhanced security and global reach of a new, larger company.
You role is to provide Technical expertise and support to all areas of the business as an active member of the Support team, pre and post sales and involvement in new product evaluation and testing and provide assistance in the development of growth of business.
Knowledge & Understanding
Good all round technical awareness
Good product knowledge to find the best available solutions
Excellent knowledge of customer and supplier base
Understands the business
Good understanding of internal systems
Management System
Sound understanding of business areas
Knows and taps in to the appropriate talent pools in the organisation
Good understanding of hardware and software
Broad knowledge of Retail related products
At least 3 years customer support experience
Ability to communicate confidently at all levels
Degree preferably in ICT or business related
Working to ISO 9001:2000 standards
