Technical Support Engineer - Electromechanical Engineer

Looking for an experienced Electronic and Mechanical Engineer to work as the in-house Technical Support Engineer for a global manufacturer of Access Control gates, barriers and other entrance control systems.

This is a customer facing role providing Helpdesk support to clients Engineers on complex support issues.

You will become the product expert responsible for supporting and training clients and engineers in the installation, set-up and operation of systems.

You will provide support and help source solution to faults on often bespoke security installations.

This role will require you to undertake route cause analysis of common faults and run projects to rectify the underlying issues.

Must have a methodical approach to problem solving and analysis, able to interpret faults and work back to the likely area of weakness.

The systems are sold globally, you must have excellent communication skills and potentially on rare occasions be willing to travel internationally to solve problems.

Technically you must have a strong electro-mechanical background and have ideally worked in a customer facing Technical Support Engineer role.

The successful candidate will be required to pass a security check.

Salary depending on experience £35 - 40000.

Office based in Uckfield with onsite parking or walking distance from Uckfield Station.
