A wholesale business based in Richmond, are looking to recruit an Graduate Finance Assistant for their finance team. Supplying to some of the UK's leading retail businesses, the organisation have recently gone through a period of high growth, doubling in turnover over the past 5 years. Working in a team of 6, this role reports directly to a Qualified Accountant with support from both a Management and Financial Accountant. This role will evolve over time and there is the opportunity to progress into an Assistant Accountant position over a 2 years period.
Your new role
Key duties include inputting and coding purchase invoices (200-300 per month), supplier statement reconciliation and payment runs; processing expenses and credit card reconciliation for 12-15 cards; raising sales invoices for services and recharges, cash allocation and credit control; multi-currency bank reconciliation, stock and Intrastat as well as liaising with operations, retail and warehouse staff.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a recent graduate, with a 2:1 or above and will be actively studying for either ACCA or CIMA. You will have at least 6 months experience in either an accounting firm or within C&I and understand the difference between debit and a credit (this will be tested at interview). Experience with Sage is beneficial.
What you'll get in return
You'll receive an annual salary of between £20,000 and £22,000 dependent on experience/academics, as well as an annual bonus, study support and an excellent benefits package.
