Yorkshire Staffing Services are currently recruiting for a Quality Control Inspector (QC) on behalf of our client based in Hull, this brand new and exciting permanent role is due to start immediately following a formal interview process!

For the role of Quality Control Inspector applicants will be required to undertake the day to day responsibilities of Quality and assist the Quality Assurance team.

The Quality Control Inspector primary role is to support the department in its key functions to the business. The primary areas of responsibility are:

• Work closely with production Setters/Operators on all matters pertaining to Quality
• Test/ Inspect supplied parts from Suppliers as determined by the Company.
• Ensure continued conformity of parts against the requirements of International Standards, Company Procedures and Customer Requirements.
• Operational activities relating to product conformity.
• Supplied parts conformity.
• Monitor and record results of component testing
• Interpret drawings, procedures, instructions, and specifications for determining the acceptance of the product.
• Perform dimensional inspection on piece parts and assemblies in accordance with applicable design documents within the production area
• Ensure documentation of inspection and testing is performed
• Assist in the training of other personnel as required
• En sure that everything from raw materials to finished products meets quality and safety standards.

The Quality Control Inspector should possess the following experience or skills:
• Be observant, paying attention to detail.
• You will also need to be patient as some tests are complex and take a long time to complete.
• Have a logical, methodical approach to your work
• You must be accurate when taking measurements and recording figures.
• Need good number skills, in order to measure and weigh samples,
• Analyse, store and display test results on computers.
• Ability to use technical equipment, for example, microscopes and automated testing machines.
• You will need tact and discretion to point out problems to production workers.
• Good communication skills are important to motivate others to improve the quality of their work, as well as to explain your findings clearly.
• Good report writing skills are also useful.
