Badenoch Clark are exclusively partnering an entrepreneurial business located in the heart of Haywards Heath for the recruitment of a Finance Manager. Reporting to a very driven Finance Director you will be responsible for assisting the business to manage their finances and support them through recent and future acquisitions. In the role of Finance Manager you will be responsible for setting up financial processes and building a success team as the business grows. Due to the nature of the role you will be responsible for all aspects of transactional accounting as well as the more advanced financial and management accounts preparation. You will be required to build both internal and external relationships with senior people which will include acting as a key business partner to the Sales Director and Managing Director.

Due to the nature of the role you will ideally match the following:
*An intermediate level of excel which includes pivot tables and vlookups
*Experience of using Sage
*Able to produce a full set of managements accounts
*Experience of working in an SME business and happy to get involved in transactional accounting duties such as purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control and bank reconciliations
*Excellent communication skills with a natural ability to build rapport and work autonomously

As the business grows your responsibilities will develop and change but initially you will be tasked with the following:
*Responsible for the production of the management accounts. This will include accruals, prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, profit and loss reporting.
*Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process.
*Responsible for analysing KPI's and writing meaningful commentary.
*Act as a key business partner to the sales director providing support and guideline regarding spend v budget.
*Assist with the preparation of the financial accounts including statutory accounts, cashflow forecasting , financial reporting tax and VAT.
*Manage the group FX.
*Responsible for managing the government gateway.
*Responsible for the bank reconciliations.
*Responsible for intercompany transfers and payments.
*All aspects of transactional accounting duties:
oPurchase ledger: matching, batching and coding invoices, supplier statement reconciliations and handling queries
oSales ledger/credit control: chase debt via email, telephone and letter., manage the DSO/aged debt report.
oAssist with a systems implementation and play a pivotal role in improving processes.
oAd hoc project work.
