Children in Care - London Based & No Court Work
Work in a Stable Team which has a Low Average Caseload & No Court Work
A Local Authority based in London is looking to take on an experienced Social Worker in their Children in Care service, which is composed predominantly of permanent staff. The team have a number of staff who have recently completed their ASYE and thus are looking for Social Workers who are keen to help develop junior workers within Children in Care making this an ideal opportunity for candidates who would be interested in taking a step up to Senior Practitioner or who are keen to complete or progress with their Practice Educator award.
Due to the stability of the service the caseloads in the team are well controlled and are very manageable. Furthermore the majority of cases are based in London which means you do not have to drive and you don't have to travel large distances to meet service users essentially freeing up time so that you can focus on your caseload.
This is an excellent opportunity to work for a Local Authority which has received a number of grants as a part of the DfE's innovation project to help bolster its Social Services by providing a number of services which focus on prevention rather than addressing symptoms. As a member of the service you will be able to take advantage of this additional funding to help develop your skills and experience in new and innovative approaches to Social Work.
