SEN Teaching Assistant - Speech and Language - Person Specification

To be considered for this role you will need to be a capable graduate who has an impressive academic record and a 2:1 or better in your degree. Previous experience supporting SEN children is desirable. The successful candidate will have a truly compassionate nature and a solid understanding of child development particularly relating to Speech and Language. You will have an encouraging personality which will help build positive relationships between you and your pupils.

About the SEN Teaching Assistant - Speech and Language - Job Specification

This SEN Teaching Assistant role will see you working within a mainstream Primary School supporting a small number of pupils who have Speech and Language difficulties. As with all SEN Teaching Assistant roles, you will need to be patient, resilient and consistent. The role will present challenges but will also be incredibly rewarding when you see progress being made. You will be working under the leadership of an excellent SENCO who will provide you with all the support you need to fulfil your role effectively.

Specialist Intervention classrooms allow for small, focused sessions to take place away from whole-class sessions.
