Raphaels Bank is looking for a Project Manager to provide maternity cover. The role will be based at The Bank’s head office in London within the ATM division.

Reporting to the Head of ATMs, the successful candidate will be a responsible for scoping, designing and delivering projects associated with the ATM division.


  • Initiate projects:

    • Evaluate their feasibility.

    • Estimate the budget, timescale and resource requirements.

    • Determine if the project is technically feasible.

  • Plan projects activities:

    • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress.

    • Identify risks and appropriate mitigations, produce a risk register.

    • Determine the project budget for approval by the Head of ATMs and/or the Steering Committee.

    • Participate in contract negotiations relating to partners and suppliers.

    • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.

    • Work with the QA Analyst to understand any bank, scheme or regulatory compliance issues and changes required to divisional procedures.

  • Execute the project:

    • Monitor and control its progress.

    • Co-ordinate internal resources and third party suppliers.

    • Maintain an updated risk register.

    • Regularly communicate progress to the steering group, escalating issues as necessary.

    • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

    • Manage costs to the agreed budget.

    • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.

    • Measure project performance.

    • Ensure divisional procedures are revised where required and that team members receive any necessary training.

  • Close the project: Produce project closure documentation including summary of implementation, final budget and evaluating successes and learnings for future projects.

  • Manage the Project Co-ordinator.


  • Experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously, ideally with technical elements.

  • Experience of managing people.

  • Knowledge of ATMs/transaction processing/payments infrastructure/card schemes /software would be an advantage but is not essential.

  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple work streams simultaneously.

  • Able to work independently and work as a team.

  • Ability to build strong relationships with excellent influencing skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.
