We are currently looking to recruit a Document Production Technician to work Monday to Friday, 1.30am to 9.30am on a 6 month fixed term contract.

The Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Produce and amend lengthy and complex business critical documents with speed and accuracy and format, paginate, number and present documents in house style

Proofread and quality check all work for spelling, grammar, formatting, presentation and sense

Be a highly knowledgeable user of key software packages (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio) and take responsibility for any training needs to improve relevant skills needed to meet the needs of the business. This includes working towards achieving Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) qualifications in the key applications

Proactively work with other members of the team to make sure relevant documentation is produced to meet internal and external clients’ expectations and deadlines

Maintain and update entries on the team’s work tracker and proactively log incoming work in conjunction with other team members

Take responsibility for ensuring that each piece of work is correctly saved and accessible by the fee earner, logged and returned to the sender with the appropriate communication and get involved in sending work requests to the team in Manila and proofing work returned – giving feedback on output

Carry out photocopying, scanning and other ad-hoc requests as required

Be proactive in clarifying instructions from fee earners/manager should they be unclear or if deadlines are not made explicit

Respond to internal and external telephone enquiries politely and professionally

Support other members of the team and to provide cover as and when necessary and to make sure that work is completed to a high standard and meets the required deadlines

Make sure that there is an effective and efficient handover of work between shifts and in particular good communication and links with other business support teams

Carry out any other duties as reasonably requested

Skills and Experience Required

Document production experience in a fast paced professional services environment using templates and House Style with exposure to working with lengthy and corrupt documents

Excellent accuracy and attention to detail and a typing speed of at least 65wpm and proficient in both audio and copy typing

Proficient user of Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio

Experience of working on and problem solving corrupt documents

Experience of using pdfDocs, Worksite and DocX Tools

Experience of working with scanned documents

Experience in proof reading work to ensure it meets client expectations

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Pro-active and positive with the ability to build effective working relationships

Ability to use initiative and problem solve document queries

MOS Word Expert Qualification (additional MOS qualifications PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook beneficial)
