Located in the historic town of Farnham, this respected agency, driven by a leadership team of six, are currently looking for a PR Account Executive to cater for the needs of a diverse range of B2B, Technology-focused clients.

The successful, new Account Executive will have already built up 12 months + of PR experience ideally within a similar business-to-business (B2B) agency environment.

This is a really exciting opportunity for someone to join a growing PR Agency in the heart of Surrey. The PR Account Executive role provides you with a hands-on opportunity to learn the practical skills required for a successful career in PR.

Working within a team of six individuals, which caters for the needs of a diverse range of technology-focused clients, you will work alongside the Senior Account Executive and take responsibility for the core press office function for all clients.

As such, you will be responsible for building and maintaining media, analyst / influencer lists and social media target influencers, tracking those publications and individuals, identifying forthcoming opportunities and pitching your ideas.

You will also have the opportunity to work with the team’s copywriter and begin to learn the fundamentals of copywriting for PR. You will learn to create your own synopses, develop press releases and construct rapid responses for your media opportunities.

For some accounts within the team, you will take full ownership of the media, influencer engagement and social media campaigns, ensuring that all intended audiences are reached, deliver agreed activities for clients, plus achieve pre-determined media coverage volume and value targets.

Ways to achieve this will include distribution and placement of press releases, active pitching of stories to trade press via Twitter or the telephone, facilitating introductions between clients and influencers, and tracking the technology news agenda.

You must demonstrate an active understanding of how results can be achieved for clients via traditional PR delivery and social media methods; therefore experience in using Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter is required.

In addition, a hunger to learn about additional social media platforms - such as Google+ and HootSuite - and understand their role in Technology PR is also desirable.

You will work closely with the team’s Junior Account Executive to bolster his/her understanding of the core elements of PR, influencer relations and social media, as well as ensure the smooth running of the team’s administration. Together you will liaise with clients to ensure materials are fully approved and in-line with expectation.

Key Skills Required:

  • Minimum 1 year’s PR agency experience
