We are working with a well-funded FinTech start-up building an intelligent cash flow management platform who are looking for a Lead Engineer to take full ownership for the frontend function.

The successful Lead Frontend Engineer will report into the CTO and be the authority for the frontend. Your role will begin hands-on, delivering on an ambitious pipeline of new features planned as the platform scale and will include working directly with the business to define those requirements, design solutions and lead an impressive in-house team on their delivery. Once delivered, the position will progress to building this team further around you.

Their system is a complex React+Redux single page application (SPA) targeted at desktop browsers with long term plans to bring it to mobile using React Native. On the backend, they are currently running Node but are starting to break the system down into distributed Microservices bring in Go and potentially Rust, and/or Clojure, in the future.

What they are looking for from you…

A background creating complex SPAs for the web
Deep understanding of JavaScript (ES6+)
Experience working with modern frameworks (React is a plus)
Advanced knowledge of modern CSS (e.g. SASS/LESS, BEM etc.)
Passion for technology, driven to achieve and accelerate your career quickly
