Account Handler CITY - £30,000 - £35,000
City based Lloyds Broker is seeking an experienced Account Handler.You will be responsible for servicing accounts from 'cradle to grave' for clients including telephone discussions with new and existing clients, renewal administration, preparation of presentations to insurers, negotiating premiums with underwriters, providing full support for client account managers and Directors, preparing client reports and other documentation. You will ideally have experience of working as an Account Handler within either a Commercial/Corporate environment or Lloyd's Brokers environment and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of excellent customer service, skills of negotiation, broking and market awareness.
Key Responsibilities
·Prepare documentation for new customers in relation to their insurance requirements in partnership with client account managers
·Obtain renewal terms for customers and identify potential alternative quotations before producing presentations for client account managers to discuss with customers
·Prepare documentation for existing customers in relation to renewals in partnership with client account managers/Directors
·Prepare market renewal from renewal meeting minutes and ensure cover bound by renewal date
·Deal with Insurer queries in relation to customer policies
·Confirm cover with relevant insurers, process policies and chase up outstanding documentation when required
·Prepare debit notes and policy summaries
·Deal with account queries and credit control matters highlighting any concerns to client account managers in a timely manner and support.
·Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, insurers, professional contacts and other company contacts.
·Assist the team to retain existing client base
·Maintain agreed service levels ensuring that all Customers are treated fairly
Experience, Knowledge and Skills
·Holding or working towards one of the Chartered Insurance Institute Qualification
·Educated to 'A' level standard or equivalent
·Commercial insurance knowledge in all classes
·Insurance administration experience in a Lloyd's or Commercial setting
