My client based in South West London is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join the company on a fixed term contract basis for 8 months. They are a very large international firm with modern offices. The duties involved:

• Contact customers to ensure invoices have been received
• Issue payment reminders
• Raise weekly / fortnightly customer statements
• Chase debt by telephone and email
• Build rapport with debtors and maintain relationships to facilitate prompt payment of invoices
• Carry out reconciliations on accounts following receipt of payment to find reason for over/under payments
• Allocation of payments
• Report to Global Treasury on debts to be collected by credit insurers
• Support Global Treasury with credit insurance / credit limit setting and outstanding debts
• Ensure Business Development Managers are aware of outstanding debt (raise fortnightly reports to be sent to staff)
• Take part in customer meetings (in person / conference call) with Business Development Managers where necessary to address any issues
• Accepting or rejecting new orders for Sales based on customers being within their credit limit and having no overdue invoices on account
• Ensuring customer contact cards are up to date
• Monitoring new customer accounts – ensure that compulsory information provided, required credit limit authorised

• Manage the Credit and Rebill process
• Assist in populating a cash flow for Global Treasury by providing a 6 week timeline of expected receipts

The salary on offer for the position is up to £22,000 plus bonus. 

The successful candidate will have experience in a credit control role previously, and ideally be studying towards a professional qualification such at AAT, ACCA, CIMA or CICM.
