Data Center Support Engineer
Our Client equires an additional data centre technician to enable a shift pattern to be implemented at its London data centre. This shift pattern will enable Our Client to provide 24/7/365 onsite engineers to deal with customer issues and provide access to customers and engineers. Full training will be given to the successful candidate.
Data Centre technicians are accountable to the Data Centre Manager and Human Resource Department.
Data Centre technicians are responsible for the following :
Cat5e/6 cable installations and testing.
Single mode and Multi mode fibre installation.
Diagnoses of and fixing faults for customers.
Administration of company systems and internal monitoring network.
Administering the company database which includes allocation of racks,
Power supplies and power readings.
Responding to support tickets.
General upkeep of the data centre such as cleaning and disposing of packaging
Your main point of contact and mentor will be our Data Centre Supervisor.
Hours of work
Your hours of work will be 40 hours per week over 7 days with 30 minutes for lunch which must be offset with other data centre technicians and the data centre manager so as there is constant engineer cover

BSc(Hons) 2i or above in computer science is preferred but equivalent experience will be considered
