CNC Machinist – Shift

• Salary up to £32k + 29% shift allowance + attendance bonus
• Shifts 6am to 4pm and 12noon to 10pm

• Excellent pension scheme

We currently have a superb role within a world class Aerospace manufacturing business in Middlesex. Our client is currently looking for a CNC machinist to undertake the setting and operating of CNC machine tools to produce components to the required quality standards and in accordance with required work schedules.

1. To set and operate CNC machines to manufacture components to technical specifications and quality standards.
2. Inspect components produced on the cell to the required quality procedures, including 1st offs, last offs, routines and critical dimensions. Use of CMM and conventional measuring techniques will be required.
3. Set and operate multiple machines.
4. To carry out basic maintenance on machines and tools in accordance with TPM programme and machine manuals.
5. To accurately interpret component drawings and relevant information so that Part Numbers, Drawing Issues, Working Tolerances and Surface Finishes can be accurately identified and applied.
6. To be conversant with and employ appropriate techniques as specified on the job cards relevant to specific components such that work is undertaken according to requirements so that :
• Processes are carried out in accordance with laid down SOP’s within the Department
• Deburring of components to required standard is completed within machine cycle
• Required quality standards are achieved
• All relevant Health and Safety regulations are adhered to at all times including Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments, SSW’s arising from RA’s/COSHH and Material Safety Data Sheets
• Work is completed in accordance with required work schedules
• Productivity is maintained so that the effectiveness and efficiency of the department is at the highest level.

Skills
Machine shop experience
Able to work to Technical Drawings and specifications
Experience of operating/programming CNC machines and tool setting
Deburring and milling
Experience of being able to inspect components in accordance with quality procedures and standards.
Basic PC skills
