As the Portering Manager your duties will include:

- Providing leadership, motivation and direction to all staff
- Being accountable for the development and implementation of aims, objectives and new initiatives, as required both locally and nationally
- Progressively implementing the service level specifications required to comply with performance monitoring standards
- Ensuring staffing levels are commensurate to meet the wards/areas/department requirements daily
- Ensuring regular liaison with service users, including patients and staff
- Managing team effectively by ensuring all rotas are completed and that annual leave entitlements are taken and covered within budget whilst ensuring that all areas are staffed to suitable levels
- Monitoring the training arrangements for all staff, in line with G4S and Trust policy
- Establishing contacts with outside agencies, both NHS and private sector in order to keep abreast of developments in portering services
- Ensuring staff compliance with all Health and Safety legislation, regulations and Trust policies
- Contributing to the preparation of monthly and quarterly performance reports.

To be a successful Portering Manager you will have the following skills and experience:

- Experience working in the healthcare industry
- Experience managing a team
- Excellent organisational skill
- Attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills. 

In return, the Portering Manager will receive a salary of £30,000 per annum.
