My client is a market leading retail business with a mixed and diverse property portfolio including High Street, Shopping Centre and Retail Park locations. Reporting to the Head of Facilities, the focus of the Senior Facilities Manager will be to develop, analyse, proactively manage and vary the contractual obligations of the outsourced FM partners to ensure that the wider business needs are met. With at least 4 days per week based in London Head Office, the role will manage and influence both internal and external teams and responsibilities will include :-

- Provide management support on day to day FM issues across the retail estate (circa 900 stores)
- Liaise with Senior Management team to identify and drive effective solutions to retail store issues
- Analyse management data to identify key trends and propose effective solutions
- Prioritise any emergency estate issues to minimise disruption to the business
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies, ensuring FM partners are aligned to enable effective delivery
- Primary contact for occupancy and maintenance works in stores
- Manage allocated Capex and Opex budgets (circa £20m) ensuring spend remains within budget
- Prioritise estate issues to ensure H&S is maintained at all times
- Fully aware of all UK legislation
- Provide support on building closures, relocations and dilapidation liabilities
- Identify cross group synergies relative to procuring FM Services & Products

The ideal candidate will have experience working within a retail multi site operation. Experience of outsourced FM Account Management, having either worked within a supplier or client muti site environment. Ideally a qualified building surveyor, you should have IOSH qualification or equivalent. You should have a good understanding of fire and water safety procedures and certifications combined with asbestos regulations and managing asbestos. Analysis of management data is key to drive through efficiencies and minimise store disruption. This is a critical role within the business and the ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills, building relationships with key stakeholders. Analysis and review of financial data essential.
