Pertemps have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Health and Safety Lead Trainer to join our large Public Sector client based in central Edinburgh.

As the Lead Health and Safety Trainer you will be responsible for leading strategic development and delivery of health and safety training, to support our client in meeting its legal and regulatory duties, manage its health and safety risks, and support a high performing work force across the organisation.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities (include but not limited to)

- Develop the health and safety training strategy
- Act as the subject matter expert on health and safety training, identifying legislative requirements and best practice
- Advise on H&S competencies and define the mandatory H&S training matrix to ensure that employees can discharge their responsibilities and work safely
- Design and develop the H&S training proposition, including e-learning and face-to-face training courses
- Stakeholder management

Essential Criteria

- Professional Health and Safety Qualification (NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent)
- 2+ years training experience (with a minimum 50% face-to-face delivery)
- Experience of developing H&S training needs analysis
- Experience of delivering excellent customer focussed training solutions within budget
