Computer Science Teacher – REDBRIDGE

A successful, vibrant and over subscribed Secondary school situated in the London Borough of Redbridge is seeking to appoint a Computer Science teacher on a full time, permanent contract for the beginning of the new academic year in September 2017. The position involves delivering the Computer Science curriculum from KS3 up to and including KS5.

This is not an ICT teaching position, but purely Computer Science.

Are you a teacher with excellent Computer Science subject knowledge?

Are you ready for a new, exciting opportunity at a school teaching motivated students with an outstanding attitude to learning?

This is a school that has the utmost belief in all of its students and strives to do everything it can in order for each one of them to fulfil their potential. With this in mind, the school is proud of the strong links it forges with parents as it is recognised that the partnership between home and school is paramount to future success.

Continual assessment of a student’s progress is monitored as this can highlight particular strengths, interests and passions.

Within Computer Science, a broad and balanced study programme is offered, one that provides students with a thorough understanding of the fundamental principles of what can be a complex, but ultimately rewarding subject.

The aforementioned study programme focuses on the three main areas of the subject, namely Computer Science, Information Technology and Digital Literacy. It is hoped that, by delivering an extensive and broad curriculum, that this will enable students to create inventive and original solutions to real world problems and that this in turn will inspire them to take the next step to the forefront of the ever-changing world of digital technology.

The school has done its utmost to provide all students with all of the tools necessary in order for them to progress into FE and beyond.

The school is served by a nearby railway station and a variety of local bus routes, including those from neighbouring Boroughs.

Applicants will need to hold QTS or be suitably qualified to be able to teach in schools in the UK as well as possessing effective classroom management strategies.
