Shorterm Group requires the following:

JOB TITLE: 8 x Electrical Technicians
JOB LOCATION: Ilford, Essex initially however Depot will be moving to Old Oak Common.
HOURLY PAY RATE: £Competitive+ BUPA + Pension
SHIFT PATTERN: Fully flexible to support 24/7 Cover. This includes Days/ Nights & Weekends.
DURATION: Permanent
PROJECT: Class 345 Electrical Multiple Units - Elizabeth Line
START DATE: July 2017 / August 2017
INTERVIEW DATE: July 2017 - Date to be confirmed.

Industries considered: Rail, Rolling Stock, RAF, REME, British Army, Navy, Avionics, Rolling Stock.
Disciplines considered: Electrical Engineer / Mechanical Engineer, Mechanic, Electrical Avionics Technician.

Purpose of the job:

Responsible for carrying out routine maintenance, repair and fault finding on Class 345 Electric Multiple Unit.
Take overall responsibility of vehicle examinations in line with vehicle maintenance instructions (VMI's).
Undertake all types of maintenance examination work to ensure that we provide a safe, reliable, and defect free train.

Key responsibilities:

Undertake technical maintenance to the required standards, and in accordance with all maintenance instructions.
Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all maintenance documentation prior to Shift Production Manager (SPM) validation and authorisation.
Responsible to the Shift Production Manager for the accurate identification of outstanding work at the end of the shift.
Ensuring all problems with processes, tooling and documentation are identified within the team is reported to the Shift Production Manager / Facility Management Team
Highlighting potential Health and Safety concerns
Compliance with all laid down H&S legislation and depot procedures to ensure a safe accident free environment
Supporting the SPM regarding delivery of Quality, Waste Reduction, Delivery and H&S targets
Produce comprehensive reports on specific fault finding investigations

Duties could include the following:

* Using manufacturer supplied computer programs to interrogate and program parts and systems.
* Gather evidence of faults and create reports to ensure warranty covered parts are replaced
* Carrying out inspections and checks to ensure reliability of fleet
* Carrying out modifications
* Carrying out work recording via both paperwork and computer (SAP)

Qualifications / Education required:

Qualified to HNC level in an Electrical / Mechanical engineering or Electronic engineering related discipline.

Relevant experience required
* Competent to undertake safety critical work
* Ability to undertake detailed fault finding and analysis by reading and following electrical and pneumatic schematic drawings
* Comprehensive knowledge of Electrical & Mechanical Principles
* Personal Track Safety Certificate (PTS)
* Computer literate and experience of using a maintenance management system for work recording
