Salary: £70,000-£80,000

Our client is a leading single source provider of valve services with unrivalled expertise, experience, facilities and stockholding in the global valve market. The Head of Projects has the overall responsibility for the Services department performance, development of clients, personnel and ensuring all work is being carried out in accordance with client requirements and policies and procedures. This further includes ensuring that the team are progressively working towards achieving contract KPI’s, by maximising profit and opportunities where possible. The company has experienced dramatic growth even through recent challenging times and are continuing to expand and invest. They are looking for an individual that will invest their skills and knowledge in return and continue this expansion.

Are you an innovative Head of Projects looking for a new challenge? If so the successful candidate will be able to apply their unique skills to:

• Provide immediate support to all disciplines and interface function for all aspects of the company and customer organisation’s for valve and actuator related activities
• Accountable for all Service work associated with North Sea client bases, ensuring the services are being provided in a timely manner and in accordance with the contractual terms and conditions
• Maximisation of all opportunities and development of contractual work scope to continuously improve the working relationships with customer base to ensure delivery against contractual and internal KPI’s
• Co-ordination of the planning process and contract performance to ensure delivery against contractual and internal KPI’s and monthly / quarterly performance meetings
• Establish and maintain favourable work relationships with clients
• Checking of monthly or quarterly performance reports as required within the applicable contracts; attendance at client premises for contract performance meetings as per clients requirements. This further includes the promotion of the company’s services and new technologies
• Ensure performances within Contract Management Plans are reviewed with team on a bi-annual basis with the commercial director
• Carry out bi-weekly team meetings to ensure that all team members are aware of how we are performing against internal KPI’s
• Co-ordination of all new supply, repair and service related activities including approval of purchase requisitions and documentation (Pro-Arc). Furthermore, contribute towards all orders being processed in a timely manner
• Where required assist with resolution of all INC, CC and associated QA queries
• Approval of all invoicing in accordance with the financial review and job performance. Where necessary, investigate any jobs that have made significant loss
• Assist and support team members to effectively manage work in progress (WIP) and ensuring the system is maintained and up to date at all times
• Any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business

Requirements

• Ideally the successful candidate will be qualified to HNC level in a technical or engineering discipline and have experience in a managerial role. It would advantageous if the successful candidate had previous experience in the Valve industry although not essential.
